Born in Angola, Lúcia de Carvalho grew up in France where she's been practicing Brazilian dance and music since her early sixteens within the band Som-Brasil! After performing first parts of Brazilian internationally known artists like Olodum, Chico Cesar, Funk n' Lata....Lúcia de Carvalho decided to create her own band with personal compositions. Her musical style? An acidulous mixture of the three cultural roots of the singer: Brazilian, Africcan and European!
